Civics Scribble (2026)
“Civics Scribble” is an educational line-drawing game produced by Nebraska Public Media. Follow Mr. Apple on a rollicking road trip across America, solving puzzles and learning about U.S. Civics!
I am the lead narrative designer on this project. I established background lore and offered context for the story of Mr. Apple, edited text within the game, playtested, created story-driven assets, directed and produced cut scenes and trailers, and programmed dialogue events in Unity and Twine.
The full version of the game was released on September 17, 2026 and is available to download now. There is also a free demo available on Steam, as well as a mobile app.
Powwow Bound: A Menominee Homecoming (2025)
“Powwow Bound: A Menominee Homecoming” is a collaboration between Nebraska Public Media and PBS Wisconsin. It tells the story of DJ and her family returning to the Menominee reservation for a powwow and family reunion.
The head writer on the project is a member of the Menominee tribe with a background in film. I helped transform his linear screenplay into game dialogue. I programmed interactive text, added additional side dialogue, and made minor narrative changes while preserving the author’s original voice and vision.
“Powwow Bound” was a “Best in Civics” finalist for the 2026 Games for Change Awards.
