The Pizza Genius (2025)
“Almost authentically made!”
Pizza Day. The most important day of the year for any self-respecting pizza joint. It should be a slam dunk for the Pizza Genius, the so-called “LeBron James of pizza.” But when the young prodigy struggles to come up with an idea for this year’s specialty pizza, a serious case of imposter syndrome threatens to ruin the entire celebration.
This was my second theater collaboration with Culler Middle School, and it premiered in November 2025. I wrote the book, lyrics, and songs, and my good friend Sam Stanley composed the piano score.
New Kids (2024)
“Either way, I think that all of us are strange.”
Back in the 1980s, aliens were, like, super in. So when a UFO full of humanoid extraterrestrials crash lands in a small town, four cliques fight for the aliens’ friendship and approval, while perpetual odd-one-out Charlie gets recruited to repair the spaceship.
Originally entitled “New Kids From Outer Space,” this was my first youth musical and collaboration with Theresa Ghormley and the Culler Middle School theater program in Lincoln, Nebraska. It premiered in November 2024, and is currently in the process of getting published with YouthPLAYS, an LA-based theater publishing company.
