From the time I was young, I always knew that I wanted to be a writer. But my actual career has expanded well beyond my child self’s wildest expectations. I get to tell stories every day as a video game programmer, a screenwriter, a musical theater composer, a sci-fi filmmaker, a crossword puzzle constructor, a video editor, a mentor, and more.

As a graduate of the inaugural Emerging Media Arts class at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, I’ve made connections with a vast array of incredible artists and unlocked a myriad of diverse approaches to storytelling. My little kid brain could not have fathomed the extent to which the desire to tell stories can turn a curious soul into a jack of all trades. Writing remains the consistent through line.

As a working storyteller and educator, I’m grateful for the opportunities I’ve had thus far, and I’m always on the hunt for what’s next! The best is yet to come.
